PhD Pharmaceutical Medicine Programme
The only multi-disciplinary training programme of its nature in India, is being run since 1997 in Majeedia Hospital in collaboration with Ranbaxy Research Laboratories, with the objective to import a broad based training to pharmacists in Pre-clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology, Clinical Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacokinetics, Clinical Research, Biopharmaceutics, Drug Regulation and various aspects of work at the Medical Department of Pharmaceutical Industry. Jamia Hamdard, established by Hamdard (Wakf) Laboratories, is a Muslim Minority Institution setup under Article 30(1) of Indian Constitution.
Eligibility
MPharm (GATE qualified) in Pharmacology / Hospital Pharmacy / Clinical Pharmacy / Pharmaceutics or MBBS degree from recognized institution (preference will be given to MD / DNB degree holders in Pharmacology / Medicine / Clinical Pharmacology) or MSc in Pharmacology.
Seats
There are four seats. One seat is reserved for candidate sponsored by pharmaceutical industry.
Selection Procedure
Short-listed candidates will be called for interview.
The admission form may be obtained from the Chairman, Admission Committee either by sending a self-addressed envelope (10 cm. x 12 cm, if envelope is not enclosed, from will not be sent) without postage along with crossed Bank Draft of Rs. 275/- drawn in favour of Jamia Hamdard, payable at New Delhi or Cash payment of Rs. 200/- from the university reception counter.
