For PG Courses
Students who are in the final year final semester awaiting result of their UG Courses are also eligible apply.
Master of Computer Application (MCA)
Eligibility
A graduate in any discipline of Madurai Kamaraj University with Mathematics as compulsory subject at 10+2 level or should have passed the degree examination equivalent to that Madurai Kamaraj University with Mathematics as compulsory subject at 10+2 level (or) any degree with Computer Science / Computer Application as major / vocational subjects.
The syllabus content of the subject (i) Business Mathematics & Operations Research (ii) Business Mathematics & Statistics / Numerical Methods and Mathematics at +2 level are different. Hence the students who have studied (i) & (ii) are NOT ELIGIBLE.
Candidates who are appearing for the final year UG degree exam during April / May can also apply. Candidate who have studied under 10+2+3/4 pattern are only eligible for admission.
Entrance Test
Application seeking admission to MCA course are required to appear for the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance (TANCET) conducted by the Anna University, Chennai.
No other entrance test will be accepted for the above admissions.
Selection
Selection will be made based on the performance of candidates in the TANCET score and Group Discussion & Interview by Madurai Kamaraj University College. A Copy of the TANCET-2006 mark statement should be submitted with in 15 days from the date of publication of TANCET results.
2. MSc (CS & IT)
Candidates for admission to MSc (CS & IT) courses (full time) should possess a Bachelor's Degree of the Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai or an examination accepted as equivalent there to.
3. MCom (Banking), MCom (Finance) and MTM
A Bachelor's Degree of the University or an examination accepted as equivalent there to with a minimum pass.
Procedure for Obtaining Application Form with Prospectus
Application form with prospectus can be had from the Principle, MKU College, Alagarkovil Road, Madurai 625 002 from by submitting in person or by post the following
1) A crossed Demand Draft obtained form any Nationalised Bank on or after the date of notification for Rs. 500/- for MCA course, for Rs. 300/- for all other post graduate courses and BSc (Hotel Management and Catering Science) and Rs. 100/- for all other Under Graduate courses drawn if favour of the PRINCIPAL, MADURAI, KAMARAJ UNIVERSITY COLLEGE, Alagarkovil Road, Madurai 625 002, payable at Madurai, along with a prospectus indicating the name of the course for which the candidate is seeking admission. SC/ST Candidates are exempted from the payment of cost of application form but they need to enclose an attested copy of Community certificate and a Demand Draft for Rs. 150/- (in person) Rs. 200/- (by post) towards the Selection Process fee for MSc CS & IT Course only along with the requisition letter.
2) If the application is to be sent by post, a self-addressed envelope of size 28 cm x 12 cm stamped to the value of Rs. 8/- is to be enclosed along with Demand Draft and requisition letter as stated above to be sent to the Principal.

Cash, Cheque, Money Order or Postal Order will not be accepted. Last date for receipt of filled in application form.
The MKU College is not responsible for any postal delay. Cost of application once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
